Shifting Light
Painting Description
Streaks of light illuminate only portions of this Ontario house close to the road near London.
Controlling, or perhaps I should say manipulating, the light has always been of great fascination to me. Edward Seago, 1910-1974, was a master of dramatic stage lighting on landscape. I became aware of his work when I was still in my 30’s through our many visits to England.
*This original was part of a large group of paintings donated by the artist to Grand River Hospital in 2012. To see paintings donated: GRHDONATION.
