Sheep (Study)

Painting Description

Many years ago when I painted this study, sheep were rare in Mennonite country but now, although not ubiquitous, they munch quietly on many farms. Perhaps the sheep’s return heralds the rebirth of the old weaving skills that were once common in early days. I look forward to new homespun blankets.
