Painting Description

This Mennonite farm stands west of Wallenstein. There can be very few Canadians that can not identify with the children playing with their toboggans on this farm hill. The liveliness of the kids seems echoed by the bright colours of the red and green barn. I find the foil of the cool pale snow just right against the warmth of the sleds, the kids, and the farmstead.
