Proud Steed

Painting Description

Young Mennonite farmers are a keen group of buyers for Standardbred horses that show insufficient talent to succeed on the track. In the Mennonite culture, it is not acceptable for a person to be proud, but as far as I know, this restriction does not extend to their animals.
