Painting Description

The patterns of stones in a small stream near Banff attracted me. The April thaw was exposing bits of landscape that previously had been snow covered.

Looking over photos that are 10 years old, I discovered a section within a larger shot that I felt held possibilities. I used various pieces of information from that morning to piece together this work. That’s why my autobiography is called Picture Maker. I enjoy creating my own reality.
