Painting Description

As rivers flood in the spring they do much damage to the buildings on the flood plain. Branches and debris are swept at terrifying speed along low lying areas. The mill at Glen Morris is just one of those landmark structures that have been rendered useless by the annual floods. My view of this stone cathedral, or what remains of it, laments the decline of this once vital mill on the Grand River just south of Cambridge.
