On Parade

Painting Description

This scene of the New Dundee German Band is straight from my childhood in the 1950’s in downtown (now uptown) Waterloo. Working from archival photos, I developed this King Street North scene. Years later when newly married, we lived just a block down King Street near the railroad tracks and greatly enjoyed the several parades each year that progressed past our window. In this case, the parade started in Kitchener and progressed up King Street and ended in Waterloo Park. See also: Image #0529 Parade.
