Medieval Musicians, Bruges

Painting Description

Although not much charmed by music, I am curiously attracted to paint musicians. Over the years, I have described in paint a rag-tag band in Russia, a most sedate trio of Medieval-style players in Tallinn, Estonia, a crescent of opera singers on a Russian stage, a dockside ensemble in Costa Rica, and marching bands at home, from the New Dundee German Band to a brass band in an historic recreation of Wellesley. The German bands assembled in Kitchener for Oktoberfest have not gone unpainted as well. I have no doubt used other musicians as subjects but at the moment that is all that I can remember.
