Late Grain Harvest

Painting Description

This detailed large painting from the Hawkesville area features a rare view of a Mennonite man with a beard. For ten years, a group of Mennonites who broke off from the David B. Martin group farmed in this area. The beard, normally associated with the Amish, was a distinguishing feature for this small group which has now moved to the Gorrie area.
