Lane to the Red Barn

Painting Description

This is a good example of how even in my early years I was attracted to but at the same time grappling with the effects of sunlight. The shapes are large and in the main unbroken. The squarely positioned barn is obvious and undefined. As years went on, I worked to bring specifics to the landscape and to the buildings. This scene is in the generic category and not a particular farm. Early days.
