Father and His Sons

Painting Description

It is impossible to stress too much the importance of family within the Mennonite community. The family is the first building block of their tightly knit group. The Mennonite meeting house serves as a gathering place for the group and as such is a symbol of the cohesiveness of that society. In that group the brotherhood is more important than the individual.
