Farmhouse near Conservation Area

Painting Description

Using a watercolour technique of transparent washes, I have described a traditional farmhouse. The ground, upsombilt, is absorbent and so receives the wash very much like thirsty watercolour paper. The drawback is the almost impossibility to varnish the surface as the varnish is drawn into the board rather than staying on the surface.
