Crooked Chimney, Smarden

Painting Description

Smarden is a neighbouring village to Frittenden where we lived for a fleeting four months in 1998. We made frequent trips to this tiny village to visit a pub that made the best, the very best, ham sandwiches in the world! This old house that backs onto the village churchyard drew my attention. The crooked chimney was really just the spark plug to paint this pretty view from everyday life.
