Painting Description

Although this painting describes the cold clear winter morning, it is interesting to note the type of sleigh gliding past our view. The runners are solid, not open, which suggests to me either a very old sleigh or a homemade vehicle. This painting from 1976 is at a time before the advent of the many small manufacturing shops that stud David B Martin farms and so I think that this sleigh is not a production model but a one off.
