Painting Description

One of the organizers of the Aids support group from Zurich, Ontario asked me to make a picture of celebrating an annual sleigh ride held by their group. Starting with photos of folks from their association, I added a team of Belgian horses from the Elmira area. The setting with the picturesque bridge over this small creek was drawn from a commission painting that I had produced several years previously for a university professor who had retired to his small farm near Lucknow. The Aids group then used the sale of reproductions to raise money for their cause. I was interested that they felt so strongly about the title, Celebration of Life.
