Painting Description

Brantford bills itself as the Telephone City. It is their connection to Alexander Graham Bell that justifies that claim. The house was owned by the great inventor’s father who came from Scotland in the 1870s. The house is small and pretty and features an attached greenhouse which was, and still remains, a common feature of houses in Scotland although most often it is a conservatory style feature.
