Rocks Along the Bow River

Painting Description

Huge slabs of rock in the foreground are only a sample of the towering mountains that compose the backdrop of this work. Adding to the charm of this view are the remnants of the winter ice that covered the Bow River just east of the Banff Springs Hotel. Although we have frequently visited the Rockies, this trip was the first for us when snow etched the margins of the landscape.
