Just One of the Spring Jobs

Painting Description

Every spring a family group combs the newly tilled fields for stones. Stones are extremely damaging to the machinery that plants the crops. Even very small children do their bit carrying one small stone at a time to the wagon. All Mennonite farms have a stone pile where these rocks are heaped, a testament to the many generations of industry on that much loved piece of land.
