Painting Description

As I write this caption, I am sitting by a window in Lake Louise, Alberta. The landscape here is breathtakingly overwhelming and contrasts with the attractive, but not spectacular, views that have captured my Mennonite Country heart. The four-horse hitch that slowly ribbons the field is, for this Mennonite farmer, the rhythm of his life.
