At the Plowing Match

Painting Description

I relate so strongly to the idea of a horse tethered by a truck because I have experienced that. My father used to take dairy horses to small fairs in this part of Ontario and we three boys got to go along. It was great fun. I still treasure the smell of the combination of horse manure, cigar smoke and linament.
